The Sunshine Group is pleased to announce its recent acquisition of the Dutch tent manufacturer and label ‘De Waard Tenten’ in Heerde. This internationally active Dutch company already operates with 3 strong leisure brands on the European market, namely Doréma, Glampinglodges and Alpenkreuzer. The well-known brand De Waard has a long and established history in producing high-quality ranges of camping tents which will now be added as the fourth label to the Sunshine Group-portfolio.
The management of the Sunshine Group is convinced about the quality, independency and dedication of the De Waard organization and its employees and would also like to retain this. In addition, the Sunshine Group sees various growth opportunities for De Waard abroad and with the further international rental from campsites to campers.
De Waard Tents can count on a strong and loyal customer base of tent campers. The sincere involvement and strong sympathy of the De Waard fans has been heartwarming in recent weeks and has certainly played a role in the decision-making of the Sunshine Group to include De Waard in her group.
The production facilities of De Waard with 35 employees, are also part of this acquisition. The Sunshine Group already has 2 production sites in Slovenia, which capacity is fully occupied with the production of high-quality lodge tents for Glampinglodges, caravan awnings for Doréma and trailer tents for Alpenkreuzer.
